01 Scientific Overview & Source Physics

AT 2024wpp is an ultra-rare Luminous Fast Blue Optical Transient (Cow-like event) exhibiting extreme optical luminosity (M_V ~ -21.4) and an extraordinarily fast rise time under 2 days. Follow-up observations detected luminous radio synchrotron emission and soft X-rays, consistent with a central compact object engine interacting with dense circumstellar matter.
