Effective: September 2026 · Station 04 of The Astronomy Academy
AstroWire is provided freely for scientific inquiry, education, research, and outreach. It is maintained and hosted by RogerLe.com as part of The Astronomy Academy network.
You are welcome to reference, reproduce, and visualize data and dossiers from this site in academic publications, teaching curricula, student projects, and amateur astronomy blogs.
All astronomical transient triggers and follow-up data originate from public notices distributed by scientific collaborations, including the LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA Collaboration, NASA GCN, IAU TNS, and CHIME/FRB.
Appropriate citation of originating scientific facilities (e.g. GraceDB circulars, GCN bulletins, TNS discovery reports) should be maintained when using these data.
Transient astronomy frequently operates on preliminary candidate data subject to subsequent refinement, re-localization, or classification updates. While AstroWire curates verified events, all data is provided "as is" without warranty.
