01 Scientific Overview & Source Physics

Initially identified by CHIME/FRB and subsequently monitored with high cadence by FAST and MeerKAT, FRB 20240114A became one of the most prolific repeating radio bursts known. It exhibits over 500 catalogued pulses with complex sub-pulse drifting and frequency-dependent polarization, confirming an active young magnetar engine in a low-metallicity dwarf galaxy.
